There are many ways that adults can go green and protect the environment. But there are also ways that kids can join in and do their part as well...

FACT: DID YOU KNOW that throwing away things that could have actually been recycled wastes energy, water and natural resources that could have been saved by recycling?Here is what is actually saved for each ton of paper that is recycled: 7,000 gallons of water is saved; 380 gallons of oil and enough electricity to run power in an average sized house for 6 months is saved.

FACT: Did you know that you can run a TV for 6 hours on the same amount of electricity that is saved by you taking and recycling just one aluminum can?

FACT: That just by recycling one glass bottle, you can save enough electricity to light up a 100-watt bulb for 4 hours.

THE SOLUTION: The less we throw away, the longer our landfills will last and won't fill up so fast. Saving taxpayer's money by extending the life of our landfills, is a very important benefit to our communities as well. So come on!! Let's ALL do our part to save our planet!!
